This usually happens when a new cart is created after purchasing. The abandoned cart email is triggered once again, as the system assumes a customer is wanting to purchase again.
After the cart is created, customers have 4 hours to either purchase or remove products from the cart. If either one of these events is triggered, the email is sent.
The email can be triggered how ever many times the customer enters the cart & does not purchase.
